Best Clinic For Circumcision Procedure

What is a circumcision?

Male circumcision is the surgical removal of the foreskin that covers the tip of the penis.
Circumcision can be performed on men of any age but is more common for babies and young children. When it comes to looking after your family, we want to make sure you are as informed as possible to make the entire process as stress-free as possible.

Using the latest methods, Dr. Shehab Abdalla performs circumcisions with excellent care and safety. This approach means that there are decreased complications, making the entire circumcision procedure simpler with less recovery time. From our experience doctors to our staff, we are committed to creating a warm and welcoming environment for all our patients, new and existing.

Circumcision is usually performed on boys for different reasons including religion, culture, or health benefits.
We are here to give you all the facts and information you need to give your child the appropriate support during and after the procedure.

Circumcision is usually performed in adults due to medical problems associated with foreskin and/or due to sexual problems.

There are several studies that suggests that circumcision has medical benefits
Foreskin can sometimes cause bacteria or fungi to build up, so circumcised babies and boys have a reduced risk of urinary tract infections. Circumcised adults have a reduced risk of penile cancer and contracting a sexually transmitted infection such as ulcers or HIV.

Ultimately, the decision to have a circumcision for you or your child is a personal decision. Our experienced team can talk you through the most suitable procedure for you or your son.

At Circumcision Vasectomy Australia, we are here to answer any questions you might have and happy to talk through all your concerns. Enquire with us today.

Who should have male circumcision?

This is a very personal question and can only be answered by an individual. The decision should be made by the man who is having the circumcision or the parent of the child. The decision should be based on evidence based information, personal preference, religious and cultural beliefs.

What is the best age to have a circumcision

This is a very personal question. Generally the younger the child the lower the risk of complications.

However, it is perfectly reasonable to elect to have your son circumcised at an older age.

What do I bring on the day of circumcision?

  • For a young child:
      1. Blanket.
      2. x2 Nappy.
      3. Dummy or pacifier.

Will my son or I feel any pain?

We complete our circumcisions with a dorsal penile nerve block. This essentially puts the pain nerve fibres to sleep for 1 hour ensuring you/your son feel no pain during the circumcision.

You/your son will experience minimal discomfort when we inject the penile nerve fibres with local aneasthetic.

How do I care for the wound?

Care for the wound is simple. Our doctors will run you through aftercare after you/your son’s circumcision.

In addition to this, we provide all our patients access to our 24 hour hotline to address any concerns they have about their son’s circumcision.
