Circumcision is usually performed in adults due to medical problems associated with foreskin and/or due to sexual problems.
There are several studies that suggests that circumcision has medical benefits
Foreskin can sometimes cause bacteria or fungi to build up, so circumcised babies and boys have a reduced risk of urinary tract infections. Circumcised adults have a reduced risk of penile cancer and contracting a sexually transmitted infection such as ulcers or HIV.
