Pricing by Age

Circumcision Fees by Age

Circumcision costs vary by age because the procedure method and clinical requirements can differ as a patient grows. Our fee schedule separates pricing for babies, children, teenagers and adults, with the total procedure fee, Medicare rebate and out-of-pocket amount shown for each age group.

Baby Circumcision Costs

Baby circumcision for patients under two months starts from $448 out of pocket with Medicare. Fees increase across later infant age brackets, so the amount payable will depend on your baby’s age on the procedure date. Prices and rebates are subject to change.

Child Circumcision Costs

Child circumcision fees vary by age. The current out-of-pocket cost with Medicare is $821 for children aged one to four, $1,021 for ages five to seven and $1,063 for ages eight to 10. The fee that applies is based on your child’s age on the procedure date. Prices and rebates may change.

Teenage Circumcision Costs

Teenage circumcision for patients aged 11 to 15 currently costs $1,549, with a $349 Medicare rebate reducing the out-of-pocket cost to $1,200 for eligible patients. Additional charges may apply for the stitches method or general anaesthetic. Prices and rebates are subject to change.

Adult Circumcision Costs

Adult circumcision for patients aged 16 and over currently costs $1,654, with a $349 Medicare rebate reducing the out-of-pocket cost to $1,305 for eligible patients. Additional charges apply for the stitches method or general anaesthetic where required. Prices and rebates are subject to change.

What Affects Circumcision Cost?

Your standard age-based fee may not include every procedural requirement.

Additional charges may apply depending on the procedure method or anaesthetic requirements.

FAQs

How much does circumcision cost in Australia?

Our circumcision fees start from $448 out of pocket for patients with Medicare. The final amount depends on age, the method used, Medicare eligibility and any additional procedural or anaesthetic costs. Check our current fee schedule before booking to see which price applies to you.

Is circumcision covered by Medicare?

Yes. Eligible patients can receive a Medicare rebate for circumcision, which reduces the out-of-pocket cost. Our current fee schedule lists a $349 rebate across the age-based pricing. Medicare rebates and eligibility can change, so we recommend checking the latest information before your procedure.

Does private health insurance cover circumcision?

Private health insurance may cover some circumcision-related costs, depending on your policy, the reason for the procedure and where treatment is provided. We recommend contacting your insurer before booking to confirm what your policy includes and whether any rebate or benefit applies to your circumstances.

How much is the deposit, and when is it due?

We require a $200 deposit when you book your circumcision. This payment reserves your procedure time at our clinic. Before paying, please review our deposit terms so you understand the conditions that apply to cancellations, appointment changes and any other relevant booking requirements.

When is the remaining balance paid?

The remaining balance is paid in line with the payment instructions provided for your booking. We require a $200 deposit when you secure your appointment, and our team will confirm when the outstanding amount is due so you know what to expect before your procedure.

Does the cost of circumcision vary by age?

Yes. Circumcision costs vary by age, with separate fees for infants, children, teenagers and adults. The final amount can also depend on the method used, Medicare eligibility and any additional procedural or anaesthetic costs. Check the age bracket that applies on the procedure date.

Is the consultation fee included in the total cost?

A doctor consultation is listed separately from the circumcision procedure fee. The current consultation fee is $95, with a $45 Medicare rebate for eligible patients. A consultation with a surgical assistant is free. Check which consultation applies to your booking before confirming your procedure.

Are aftercare and follow-up included in the price?

Aftercare information and access to our 24-hour aftercare service are included in the procedure cost. Follow-up requirements can vary depending on the method used and your recovery. Our team will explain what follow-up is required as part of your care.

Disclaimer: Circumcision fees and Medicare rebates reflect Circumcision Vasectomy Australia’s current pricing and are subject to change. Your final out-of-pocket cost may vary based on age, Medicare eligibility, procedure method, anaesthetic needs and any additional charges that apply.
